Abstract:
From his vantage point as University Librarian, Professor Donald C. Davidson traces the evolution of the UCSB Library, explaining
the origins of each collection and describing the trials he faced in keeping pace with the academic needs of a growing institution.
The oral history was presented to Dr. Davidson at the Annual meeting of the Friends of the Library [1984?]. Also 1993 interviews
with other librarians in conjunction with naming of the Library in honor of Dr. Davidson. Interviewer: David E. Russell, 1984;
